Latin American  Film  Festival

i-d-e-n-t-i-t-i-e-s , a Latin American festival celebrating LATIN AMERICA by way of independent cinema, dance, music and regional cuisine on 24-25 July at Dulwich park.


The festival will pay tribute to LATINX WOMEN for a whole weekend with a competition of exciting Latin American short films, exploring diversity and cultures to shine a light on the Latino community. Prizes include 2 Audience Awards to be delivered on the closing night.
We are teaming up with FEMME FRONTERA, a Mexican touring film fest,  sharing films which challenge current narratives about gender roles, LGBTQ , immigrants and other communities.

Each day there will be a pop up cinema in the middle of the park where people can get seated and enjoy a full immersion into the world of cinema.

Prior to each screening we have children activities with face painting and more, afterwards a Latin American DANCE WORKSHOP will engage families and children with folk dancing.  Then a LIVE MUSIC concert will be playing  on the main stage area.
Regional FOOD STALLS dedicated to the various countries will serve delicious cuisine & drinks throughout the event.

MEXICO

Saturday 24th July

Saturday is all about MEXICO!
We are teaming up with FEMME FRONTERA, a Mexican touring film fest,  sharing films which challenge current narratives about gender roles, LGBTQ , immigrants and other communities.

Starting at 7pm  with Hortensia Celis dance group teaching Mexican folk dancing and the famous all women Mariachi band, LAS ADELITAS. Afterwards a special Q&A with Laura Plancarte about her upcoming film 'Mexican dream'.

ARGENTINA

Sunday 25th July

Sunday 25th a full immersion in ARGENTINA!                                Tango South London will dance the Chacarera with Alberto Ortiz band plus a full on Milonga band headed by Javier Fioramonti.  Panel discussion  with the Argentina director Adelaida Monguillot, Ana Rivadullo Crespo, Andrew Johnston Davies and Brazilian filmmaker Victor Fraga.
